A robust grower, the sharply four-sided stem grows 3-8'. In late summer its branching top has a long cylindrical spike of clustered yellow to yellow-green flowers. A favorite of bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. Grows best in rich, open woodlands. The leaves don’t have a strong smell like most mints, but the leaves are bitter, making it deer resistant.
