Build up your local ecosystem at home and beyond by supporting your local native plant nursery this year with Biodiversity Box and Edible Native Plant CSA.
Do you participate in a vegetable CSA? Community supported agriculture helps small farms get critical seed money needed to support propagation and infrastructure ahead of the growing season.
We are always looking for creative ways to inspire our community to rebuild ecosystems— feed pollinators and restore habitats — while moving forward as a small mission-driven, organic plant nursery.
BIODIVERSITY BOX
JOIN Biodiversity Box CSA for $350
This native plant CSA includes:
- One 4’x6’ or 4x8’ hemlock raised planter handcrafted by Helia Land Design, that you can easily install (must be full-sun)
- 64 plug-sized pollinator-feeding native perennials
- 8 Weekly Pick-Ups May 15th-July 15th
We will provide three different plant species and a dose of Happy Frog organic, non-neonicotinoid fertilizer every pick-up. By end of August, your new garden box will be a new biodiverse array of the species that feed many caterpillars, birds, bees, and moths.
JOIN Edible Native Plant CSA $400
This Edible native plant, tree and shrub CSA runs for 4 weeks from June 15 - July 15 and includes:
- 12 Native Edible trees or shrubs
- 8 Native Edible perennials
- 4 Weekly pick-ups with new selections to choose from
- Every week for the CSA you will be able to pick-up 3 shrubs or trees and 2 perennials. These native species we send you home with will be edible or medicinal. Teas, cocktails, salads, fruit, tinctures and more could be made with your new CSA.
Our Policy: As this CSA is designed to support and ensure the Helia Native Nursery mission can succeed, we will be running both CSAs to be for pick-up when we are open, Thur- Sat. 9:00am-4pm only. If you miss your CSA, then the plants will be returned to inventory. We appreciate your understanding in this policy. If you have a scheduled event during a pickup week, let us know ahead of time and we will hold your plants.
